Your Opportunity

Mott MacDonald's  Project, Program, and Commercial Management  team has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager. You will drive delivery across a major multidisciplinary infrastructure delivery program spanning transportation and civil infrastructure and related specialist services.

You will be accountable for program scope, schedule, budget, risk, governance and resourcing, ensuring individual projects remain aligned with client outcomes and broader business objectives. Working with Project Principals, project managers, technical teams and external partners, you will drive consistent delivery, strengthen commercial performance and support delivery alongside a highly engaged and effective team.

• Provide direction and oversight to project managers and multidisciplinary teams across the full delivery lifecycle.
• Establish and maintain program-level governance, controls and reporting across schedule, cost, risk, dependencies, change, benefits and quality.
• Manage portfolio financial and commercial performance, identifying trends and implementing corrective action where required.
• Develop integrated delivery plans and resource strategies to balance priorities, capability and capacity across the program.
• Ensure compliance with Mott MacDonald's governance, risk management and quality assurance frameworks, as well as relevant Defence, security and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate internal teams, external partners and senior stakeholders to resolve cross-project issues and maintain alignment on program priorities.
• Provide clear program reporting and advice to clients, Program / Project Directors and governance forums to support timely decision-making.
• Support bids, client engagement and pipeline development while identifying opportunities to expand services across existing and new accounts.
• Build program capability through mentoring, succession planning, knowledge sharing and the development of consistent delivery practices.

About You

• Relevant tertiary or vocational qualifications in project management, engineering, business or a related discipline, with recognised professional accreditation desirable.
• Substantial experience managing complex, high-value projects or programs in infrastructure, engineering, construction or another highly regulated environment.
• Demonstrated accountability for program scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, governance, benefits and commercial performance.
• Proven experience managing project managers and multidisciplinary teams across multiple concurrent workstreams and locations.
• Strong capability in integrated planning, resource forecasting, dependency management and executive-level reporting.
• Commercial acumen and the ability to identify risk, manage change and improve financial and delivery outcomes.
• Confident stakeholder leadership, with the ability to influence senior clients, delivery partners and governance forums.
• Experience contributing to proposals, bids, client development and the identification of future program opportunities.
• A collaborative and accountable leadership style, with a strong commitment to health and safety, quality, inclusion and the development of others.
